We feel that uniform instils pride, a sense of identity and supports the ethos of St Stephen's Primary School as well as providing good value for money for parents. Children wearing full school uniform always look smart and ready to learn thanks to your support.
The following may be worn as an alternative to the above uniform:

Children need to remove earrings for all P.E. lessons. If earrings cannot be removed for any reason, parents should supply plasters to cover them.
We have ensured that our policy does not discourage parents from applying for a place for their child at St Stephen's CE Primary School. We have adopted DfE guidance that states, "No school uniform should be so expensive as to leave pupils or their families feeling unable to apply to, or attend, a school of their choice, due to the cost of the uniform."
We always endeavour to make sure that the school uniform is easily available for parents to purchase. We do not have any compulsory branded items of uniform and we always avoid specifying expensive items e.g. expensive outdoor coats.
Second-Hand Uniform
We have a selection of good-quality, spare school uniform available free of charge for families who may need it. Parents and carers can request items by contacting or visiting the school office. We will do our best to provide the sizes and items required, subject to availability.
This service helps to reduce waste and support families by making school uniform more affordable and accessible.
