The PCC of St. Stephen's Church have two vacancies for Foundation Governors. The role of a Foundation Governor is to perform all the main duties of a school governor but also to uphold and support the Christian ethos of the School. Full Governing Body meeting 12.10.2020
At the meeting, governors voted in Mrs Sarah Howard as Chair of Governors and Mr Andrew Mielczarski as Vice-Chair of Governors for the academic year 2020-21.
Mr Andrew Mielczarski has taken over as Chair of the School Effectiveness and Pupil Welfare committee and Mrs Lisa McCullough remains Chair of the Resources committee.
The governors are pleased to announce that following the recent parent governor nomination process, Andrew Mielczarski has been appointed as our new Parent Governor until September 2023.
The governors are also pleased to welcome Rev. Paul Sanderson to the governing body in his role as Ex-Officio Governor, a position appointed by the Diocese.
Our new governors will be formally welcomed at our first full governing body meeting on 14th October 2019.
The governors would like to formally thank Mr Chris Ryan and Mr Steve Clark for their service to the governing body as their tenures come to an end.
Cllr Sue Nuttall
The Governing Body are sorry to share the news that Cllr Sue Nuttall sadly passed away on 3rd September 2019. Sue was our Local Authority Governor from November 2012 until October 2016. She served as Chair of Governors in the summer term of 2015/16 and at the beginning of the autumn term of 2016/17. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue's family at this time.
New Foundation Governor
The governors are pleased to welcome Mrs Barbara Ingham, who was appointed as our new Foundation Governor by the PCC on 19 September 2018. Mrs Ingham has been appointed as the SEND Governor for this academic year.
Parent Governor Election Result
The count was held on Friday 12 October at 16.15, carried out by Mrs Howard and witnessed by Mrs Parsons and Mr Ryan. The candidate in receipt of the highest number of votes was Lisa McCullough. The governors would like to thank all candidates for their nominations and welcome Lisa to the governing body.
The actual number of votes cast can be obtained from the school office upon request.
